“DIE HARD V” WILL BE BETTER THAN “DIE HARD 5″

By Michael Ferraro | June 4, 2007

I wonder how many of you out there just caught that old Beavis and Butthead reference. If you did, kudos.

Those folks over at Cinematical report that Bruce Willis is open to doing another Die Hard film. He also admits his disappointment for the second film. Not really a shocker, as many Hard fans think it the worst of the franchise, but there are some die-hard Die Hard fans out there that think the second one is highly underrated.

One thing that can definitely be said about the second one is that it’s ballsy. They killed a plane full of innocent victims… you certainly don’t see that everyday. Or even in the new Die Hard coming, rated PG-13, where guys jump out of helicopters before they collide with a police car. Just die you bastards.

The most bizarre thing about Willis’ feelings toward another entry is his new attachment to his Live Free… co-star/Apple spokesman Justin Long. He says, “I told them I would only do it if Len is involved, and Maggie Q. And Justin, of course. You can’t do one without Justin.”

First of all, and mind you I have yet to see this new entry, but not without Len Wiseman (the man behind the Underworld flicks)? What about John McTiernan? Granted, the dude hasn’t made a good movie since 1995, but he has to have something worthy left in his system. And what is this “you can’t do one without Justin” s**t? You did three of them without him. Why can’t you now?

Regardless, there is a part of me that yearns for some classic Die Hard action. Even more so, how much longer do I have to pray for a sequel to The Last Boy Scout? Best Bruce Willis movie ever.

    Sublime.

  2. Michael Ferraro says:

I too appreciate some good ole’ Die Hard 2 action. How can people deny a movie with a subtitle that goes, “Die Harder“?

  3. Pete says:

Yeah, that “can’t do one without Justin” comment confused me, too.

And Die Hard 2 is underrated.
