DAY OF THE TEEN FILMMAKERS

By Film Threat Staff | February 18, 2005

The Chicago Future Filmmakers Festival celebrates the work of Illinois film and video makers under the age of 20. This year, Cinema/Chicago, the producers of the Chicago International Film Festival, is organizing the event.
The Festival is a one day event that will be held this year on Friday May 13th, 2005 from 4pm-7pm. For the past 9 years the festival was run by the Chicago Instructional Technology Foundation (CITF) under the name the Chicago Youth Media Festival. Past winners have gone on to attend film schools, make more films and have their work accepted by other international festivals.
In 2005, the festival will award over $1,000 in prize money and a partial scholarship to Columbia College. These young media producers will be selected by a jury of distinguished film professionals and educators. Films and videos that were completed within the past two years can be entered.
