DAVID CRONENBERG: HIS “SPIDER” HAS MORE BITE THAN BARK

By Chris Gore | December 26, 2003

David Cronenberg has returned with Spider, a twisted psychological thriller about a man trying to get his head straight after being released from a nut house. Personally, if you’re still trying to get yourself together when you walk out that door, then why did they let you out in the first place? Anyways, the guy spends his time trying to unravel his mysterious past by sifting through his childhood memories.

Spider is currently doing the festival circuit and confounding audiences around the world. Seems folks are about as confused as the lead character in this film. We spoke with Cronenberg about his latest movie and tried to get him to shed a little light on just what the hell is going on in Spider.
