DARE TO DREAM WITH "ANNIE PAUL"

By Film Threat Staff | December 10, 2000

Paul Berman is 32-years old and he has a big, sweeping dream: to star as Little Orphan Annie in the hit Broadway musical “Annie,” which he has loved, along with the rest of America, since he was a kid. But, you know, he’s male, so there’s the leg hair issue. And he’s pretty old to play a pre-pubescent child. Do you think this stops Paul from trying out?
“Annie Paul” is an independent feature film that documents a heartfelt quest to dream the impossible dream (oh wait, wrong musical) even in the face of adversity. The film stars Mitchell Whitfield, Leah Remini, and Patrick Bristow, and was a recent Moxie Awards finalist at the 2000 Santa Monica Film Festival.
