DANNY ELFMAN HONORED

By Film Threat Staff | May 8, 2002

Music man Danny Elfman will soon take home a BMI Award for Outstanding Career Achievement come this Wednesday, May 15th, 2002. The Crystal Award is given out annually by BMI to a composer who has made “significant contributions to the world of Film and TV music.”
Elfman’s talents for both composing and songwriting are unrivaled — his unique touch is all over the scores for recent films like Spider-Man, Planet of the Apes and Men in Black II. Of course, he’s also known as the man behind the music in The Simpsons, Pee Wee’s Big Adventure, Batman…and then there’s that whole Oingo Boingo thing, too.
