CINEVEGAS FILM FESTIVAL NAMES NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR

The CineVegas Film Festival has named Anita Nelving to the position of Managing Director, it was announced by Festival President Robin Greenspun and Festival Artistic Director Trevor Groth. As Managing Director, Nelving will oversee all Festival departments for the annual CineVegas Film Festival as well as the Festival’s year-round events. She will also be responsible for approving budgetary decisions and overseeing the Festival’s key relationships with other arts organizations and Las Vegas properties while managing the Festival’s presence and brand in Las Vegas. Nelving will assume this position on Tuesday, September 2.

“We are thrilled to have someone with Anita’s experience join the CineVegas team,” stated Groth. “Her many years with Cirque du Soleil have made her an invaluable asset not just to the city of Las Vegas, but internationally, as she has helped spread the importance of art and culture around the world.”

Nelving joins CineVegas after serving as Director of Public Relations for the Cirque du Soleil Resident Shows in Las Vegas, where she led a team of seven in-house publicists and public relations agencies, and developed and executed integrated marketing communication strategies for the six permanent productions in Las Vegas and Orlando.
