"CARVING OUT OUR NAME" CONTEST DIGS DEEP

By Film Threat Staff | May 12, 2001

To help celebrate the launch of their new website, the minds behind the indie feature “Carving Out Our Name” began sponsoring a contest back in February: submit a one-liner that sums up the “essence of the story” (or your best guess after viewing clues on the site) and you may see your slogan in the film and on press materials.
The movie has been kept under wraps until now due to delicate subject matter, but it reportedly deals with the very real-life “effects of fame, love and loss, and how people adapt to those changes.” Wes Bentley of “American Beauty” heads up the cast as himself, along with Brad Rowe of “Billy’s Hollywood Screen Kiss” along with the people that share their lives.
