BULLSHIT OR NOT?

By Film Threat Staff | February 11, 2004

The first annual True/False Festival, an exploration of fact, fiction and what lies between, will unspool in downtown Columbia, Missouri February 13-15, 2004. The T/F Fest features a program of nearly 50 films, plus panels, a tribute to filmmakers Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky and creatively themed parties and special events.
More than 30 filmmakers from around the country will present their films in person, and will be available for post-film question and answer sessions. The T/F Festival was created to champion the films and filmmakers who are leading a renaissance of non-fiction cinema.
“Documentaries are among the most exciting, innovative forms in contemporary filmmaking” ” co-director David Wilson said. “And the public is definitely tuning in to these films, as proven by the success of Bowling for Columbine and Capturing the Friedmans. We hope to give our audiences a chance to discover some of the incredible and productive directions non-fiction filmmakers are taking us.”
