BLOODHAG

By Kevin Park | August 21, 2001

An excellent short about the band Bloodhag and their tour of the Seattle public library circuit. We find them going from library to library with their original “edu-core” rock sound, educating pre-teens of science fiction writers by singing songs about them to the tune of death metal ballots. To me the whole concept of a death metal band playing in local neighborhood libraries is too good to be true, the fact that it’s real makes all the better. With songs like James Tiptree Jr. and Arthur C. Clarke, I don’t care if you’re a death metal nut, or a sci-fi buff, you cannot go wrong with this short.
