BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR GOES TO….

By Rory L. Aronsky | March 5, 2006

George Clooney in a noticeable beard?

Matt Dillon as the guy that blew off Mike Ferraro?

Paul Giamatti as a man deserving of an apology by the Academy?

Jake Gyllenhaal as just another gay cowboy?

William Hurt?

George Clooney! And his beard! And to think he was on “Roseanne” once.

I see that in the attempts to look back at the past decades of movies through that opening special effects sequence and the set by Roy Christopher, that also means the close-ups ceremonies used in decades past as well.  I never knew Clooney’s nose was that straight!

Nice guy.  Won’t win anything again.

Now to commercials.  Which means snacks.
