BEATING THE (WALKING) DEAD HORSE…

By Felix Vasquez Jr. | April 5, 2008

Frank Sudol, director of one of the most unusual zombie films made in years, “City of Rott,” created this rather cool entry for “Diary of the Dead” that didn’t win, but is still one of my favorites. In lieu of the May release of the “Diary of the Dead” DVD, I thought this warranted some watching:

Gorefest Footage

And another favorite, “The Beginning”:

I disagree. I thought it was brilliant, perfectly timed to this generation, and a wake up call to us, that was delivered with pure mastery.

I actually thought Diary was my least favorite Romero flick. It was tiring, poorly made, and it felt like too little too late for some reason. Romero needs to move on.
