A set from “Back to the Future,” the King Kong exhibit and a video vault containing more than 40,000 videos and reels were all victims of a large fire on the Universal Studios backlot early Sunday morning.
So which “Back to the Future” set was lost? Only the famous courthouse square, which lead to damage to the iconic clocktower. Additionally as many as three blocks of movie facades were destroyed, including two mock New York and New England streets used for filmmaking and tourist displays.
The cause of the fire (Wrath of God? Angry anti-MTV Movie Awards cult? The people from “Spacedisco-One”?) is still under investigation…
