AURORA A/V GEEKS DO IT FOR THE KIDS

By Film Threat Staff | June 27, 2002

Houston’s always-cool Aurora Picture Show has put together a special screening — Children’s Films from A/V Geeks. The event is curated by Skip Elsheimer, a rabid collector of old 16mm educational films.
You can check out the event on Saturday, June 29th at 3PM, and again on Sunday, June 30th at 3PM.
The classic children’s educational films include:
“Squeak the Squirrel”: A small squirrel learns how to get peanuts by using various strings and pulleys.
“Pamela Wong’s Birthday for Grandma”: A young Asian girl is sent to gather items for her grandmother’s surprise birthday party.
“It’s So Nice To Have A Wolf Around The House:” An animated short about an old man, his elderly pets and a mysterious wolf who tries to pass himself off as a “German Shepherd”.
The Aurora Picture Show revamps their event lineup frequently, so be sure to stop by their website for all series details and updates.
