Hollywood Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers , USC School of Cinema-Television and the Entertainment Technology Center are sponsoring an event that will examine the making of the first major digital live-action motion picture – “Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones” on October 5th at the Digital Cinema Laboratory at the Pacific Hollywood Theater.
“Star Wars: Episode II” producer Rick McCallum will begin the event with a keynote detailing the vision and the issues associated with the choice to create a completely digital project. Then the key players who oversaw all aspects of production, post production, digital visual effects, sound and distribution will share their plans, and insights, using clips that illustrate the making of the motion picture including film, digital and comparative elements.
The event is open to film industry folk and film students.
