A RECAP OF SUNDAY NIGHT…

By Mark Bell | March 10, 2008

The Film Threat / B-Side Party was an absolute blast last night. Don, Pete, Gore and I represented and we were both impressed and happy that so many of our friends made it out for the event. You can see the pics to the right, and as you’ll note there was quite a bit of playing the old Rock Band. Everyone took a turn, including actor/festival veteran Kent Osbourne, writer Erik Childress, director Michael Blieden and yours truly.

The party was extremely well-attended, and depending on what time you were there you could’ve found yourself talking with Doug Benson, hanging with Trevor Groth (and his kick-a*s jumpsuit), eating M&Ms alongside “Cook County” director David Pomes or debating films with the writers from Cinematical.

After our party wrapped, Gore, Don and I wandered over to the “Nerdcore” after-party (Pete actually went to the movie, winning him the “Responsible Critic of the Evening” award). It was pretty packed, and we expected to be stuck in a very obnoxious line, but festival producer Matt Dentler saw us and got us inside. Once in, there were more drinks to be had and more pictures to be taken. We ran into Morgan Spurlock, Greta Gerwig, Arin Crumley and many more of our friends. All and all, it was a great evening.
