The 55th Locarno International Film Festival will run August 1-11 with 21 world premieres, including Neil Labute’s “Possession”, starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Samantha Lang’s “The Idol”, starring Leelee Sobieski.
Kicking off the Swiss/Italian film festival on August 1st will be Oliver Parker’s “Importance of Being Earnest” at the Piazza Grande theater, which features one of the biggest open air movie screens in the world.
Also screening will be Takashi Miike‘s “Dead or Alive: Final”, “Signs”, “Ali G Indahouse” and “One Hour Photo”.
