2011 LOS ANGELES FILM FESTIVAL LOOKS “PRETTY IN PINK”

Like the classic film Pretty in Pink? Like free events? Congrats, then, because on May 3, 2011, the 2011 Los Angeles Film Festival will be presenting a free outdoor screening of Pretty in Pink in honor of the film’s 25th Anniversary, with director Howard Deutch and other special guests in attendance. From the official press release:

THE LOS ANGELES FILM FESTIVAL, PRESENTED BY THE LOS ANGELES TIMES, HOLDS FREE, OUTDOOR SCREENING OF PRETTY IN PINK TUESDAY, MAY 3 AT NOKIA PLAZA AT L.A. LIVE

WHAT: Film Independent’s Los Angeles Film Festival, presented by the Los Angeles Times, will have a FREE, outdoor screening of Pretty in Pink in honor of the film’s 25th Anniversary and the announcement of the 2011 Festival line-up made earlier in the day.

The Los Angeles Film Festival will run from Thursday, June 16th through Sunday June 26th, in downtown Los Angeles with its central hub at L.A. LIVE.

WHO: Pretty in Pink director Howard Deutch and special guests will be in attendance, along with Los Angeles Film Festival director Rebecca Yeldham, Artistic Director David Ansen & Managing Director Gloria Campbell.

WHEN: Tuesday, May 3, 2011
Pink Beer & Wine Garden opens at 5:00 p.m.
Film begins at 7:00 p.m.
