Vegas Pizza

From filmmakers Brian Lucas and Chris Singleton, Vegas Pizza is, for all intents and purposes, a pilot episode for a comedy web series centering on our hero, Parker, as he unsuccessfully tries to navigate life. He’s a hapless soul with friends at Vegas Pizza to either support him or bust his balls.

At a bustling Las Vegas pizza shop, the crew of Vegas Pizza juggles chaos, customers, and their own personal dramas. Parker (Eric E. Johnston) works as a delivery driver and is tasked by his boss, Guzman (Eugene Parker), to show the new driver, Jesse (Narado Fenton), the ropes. The duo faces their first challenge of the day, Mr. Miller, a regular who orders weekly, shares his life stories, and never tips.

“Parker decides to play a prank by adding hot sauce to the customer’s wings.”

Parker decides to play a prank by adding hot sauce to the customer’s wings. The plan backfires spectacularly when Mr. Miller comes through on his promise to tip. After this debacle, Parker’s day goes from bad to worse when he accidentally sends a h***y sext meant for his girlfriend to his mother instead. With Igor and Jesse in tow, Parker races to his mom’s house to delete the message before she wakes up.

The first episode of Vegas Pizza is pretty solid, giving us a slice of Parker’s life as well as developing a crew of cool dudes and dudettes. All I’m looking for now is a sense of direction that makes me want to come back for more.

Vegas Pizza is available on Prime Video.
