Comedian Bradley Rabinowitz transports us to the wild west in his comedy short, The Slickest Gunslinger. Clifton “Quick Finger” Harris (Bradley Rabinowitz) and “Wild Goose” Billy Stranton (Peter Devita) square off in the middle of nowhere for what should be an intense, life-altering gun duel. The two men face each other down, hands hovering — until Quick Finger breaks the standoff with some pistol prowess of his own. Not to be outgunned, Billy starts twirling his pistol. And keeps twirling. And keeps twirling.
Bradley Rabinowitz notches another sketch comedy short on his belt. Bringing back his collaborators from his college sketch show, Rabinowitz returns with this selection from the NY Sketchfest Digital Hour in October 2025.

The Slickest Gunslinger is a very silly sketch comedy short, and if you’ve got the itch for the sillies, Rabinowitz’s short is just what the doctor ordered. I like how Rabinowitz plays into the logic — or more accurately, the illogic — of the situation. Like RA Noir, it’s super low budget and very DIY. If Rabinowitz plans to keep producing comedy sketches, I’d suggest making the film feel more cinematic with cleaner edits, interesting camera angles, and clever shot composition.
As for the story, allow the leads to have distinct personalities, so the characters are more involved in the plot — if that makes any sense. Again, a lot of jealousy on my part. If I had a cell phone camera in my youth, man, I’d be making sketches like crazy.
