“Snow Day, Bloody Snow Day” is a zombie spoof along the lines of “Shaun of the Dead” but without the romance. Taking place in Seattle, a mysterious snow storm baffles news reporters and local residents until they discover they have an even bigger problem: zombies. So a group of movie nerds band together and make a journey for the news station to explain how to kill the undead for anyone still alive watching the television.
While the film isn’t very gory, nor does it try to be, the filmmaking team did a great job with the make-up effects. The zombies look freshly rotted and mix well with some of the humorous situations they find themselves in. In short, it’s a worthy horror-comedy that’s less horror and more comedy, made especially for fans of the zombie genre. For them, no joke will go unnoticed and not a laugh will be missed.
