I think Roe Moore and Mike Abatte’s comedy short, Drive to Airport, is about the dangers of distracted driving, but I’m sure I’m wrong.
This brief, almost four minutes short, features a father (Drew Parker Scott) taking his son (Mike Abatte) to the airport. As always, time is against them, and the annoying GPS (Glenda Suggs) is not helping the situation.
“…time is against them, and the annoying GPS is not helping the situation.”
Son has an important confession to make, but navigating the crowded airport is quickly becoming a source of rage for Dad.
Drive to Airport is a clever, albeit silly, short film. Spoiler alert: Son is trying to come out to Dad, but the frantic GPS interrupts what should be a profound moment, as angry Dad could go either way.
As a short film, director Roe Moore has a good command over this sketch, which takes place in a car and has the comedic timing down perfectly. Drive to Airport is a solid comedy indeed.
