Today, a young woman, Melody (Sarah Lind) “happens” to be driving past Henry’s cabin on a snowmobile and gets into some kind of accident. Henry finds her with a tree branch jammed through her leg. He takes her back to his cabin and nurses her back to health. But Henry is anxious to get her on her way. Melody’s injuries make it almost impossible to leave.
But who exactly is this Melody? What was she doing in the middle of the snowy forest? Why does she seem skilled in using a gun?
“Secrets should be shocking, unpredictable, and strongly impact the story.”
Cold Blood is an action thriller that’s light on action and thrills. The action consists of a few gunfights, the assassin thing, and snowmobiling. The thrills come from its cast of characters and they all have secrets…because everybody has secrets…right?
Overall, Cold Blood just falls flat. Secrets should be shocking, unpredictable, and strongly impact the story. Here they’re predictable and lacks cleverness in discovering everyone’s true identities and motives. The action is a few gunshots. If there are any thrills, it’s through Kappa’s investigation of Henry and Kessler’s past, but again predictable.
This film could only be made with Jean Reno in the lead and his fans will not be disappointed. He’s the smartest one in the room. He’s a warm-blooded hitman. He’s got MacGyver skills in the wilderness and finds smart ways to extract information. In the end, I was just expecting more than what I got.
"…this film could only be made with Jean Reno..."
who hired henry to kill kessler and charly actually??
Whose phone number was that on the card?
I must have fallen asleep but missed out on who actually hired Jean Reno to kill Kessler and his Daughter ? Do not have the stomach to watch it all through again to see who it was.
I went back and paused on the phone list; none of the listed numbers matched the number. I am still confused.
I honestly don’t remember, but I assume it’s the guy who hired him last.
