Film Threat’s Award This! has become a unique voice for indie film and an annual industry staple. An event with a mission — to champion independent films across a multitude of diverse categories to bring awareness to the growing number of exceptional indies available on DVD, VOD, and streaming services. Film Threat recognizes these films each year with a ceremony hosted by actors, comedians and critics, and the celebration continues at a huge afterparty. And yes, there will be a Award This! gift bag.
Award This! Honors Indie Filmmakers in its 7th year with Special Presenters Justine Bateman, Zach Selwyn, Leah Knauer, and Drew Horton this Saturday, January 31st, 2026!
Zach Selwyn
Zach Selwyn is an actor/host/writer and musician who currently stars in the new “Trailer Park Boys” movie Standing on the Shoulders of Kitties in which he plays a band member alongside Billy Bob Thornton. He also wrote five of the songs on the soundtrack.
Zach is widely known for his on-camera presence, hosting the Emmy nominated History Channel show “America’s Secret Slang,” being a regular on G4’s “Attack of the Show” and serving as the house band leader on NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football” and has appeared on over 75 programs in the past decade – including TruTV’s “Guinness World Records Gone Wild,” “Immortalized” on AMC as well as original series for NBC, Comedy Central, Discovery and CMT.
Zach will perform a special song written just for this event.
The nominating board of Award This! is comprised of the staff of Film Threat’s editors and critics which number 30+ worldwide along with an advisory board of media figures and independent film luminaries.
