The BBC is making a Victorian-era WAR OF THE WORLDS series. The H.G. Wells book recently entered the public domain, which freed the series to move forward. Doctor Who writer Peter Hartness will pen the scripts. Mammoth Studios Managing Director of Productions Damien Timmer says “no one has ever attempted to follow Wells and locate the story in Dorking at the turn of the last century.”
