JOURNALISM INTERNSHIP – SEEKING WRITERS AND EDITORS 

Film Threat, a small and fast-paced media company, is seeking interns interested in learning all aspects of film criticism. The intern who fills this position should expect to learn the field from top to bottom and will complete this program ready to enter any entertainment media company with excellent skills.

It’s essential that applicants to this position have strong communication skills, excellent grammar and writing skills, work from a virtual location and understand the importance of being detail-oriented.

Journalism Interns Responsibilities

  • Ability to proofread and correct articles written by Film Threat writers.
  • Proofread and correct content on the Film Threat website, podcast feeds, and video channels. Research and prepare images for upcoming reviews.
  • Exceptional candidates may write articles based on Film Threat’s published content as well as review short films submitted. 

Requirements

  • Film Studies or Journalism major.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Writing skills. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and other Microsoft Office Applications or Google Docs and Google Tools.
  • Able to work virtually and remotely.
  • Energetic and creative.

ATTACK OF THE SHOW – DOCUMENTARY FILM INTERNSHIPS

Attack of the Doc, an independent documentary about G4 and Attack of the Show, is seeking interns interested in taking a hands-on approach to learning film production. The intern who fills this position should expect to learn the field from top to bottom and will complete this program ready to enter any entertainment media company with excellent skills.

It’s essential that applicants to this position have strong communication skills, excellent grammar and writing skills, work from a virtual location and understand the importance of being detail-oriented.

ASSISTANT EDITOR 

  • Primary Tasks: Assembly Editing
  • By using our directory, and their additional research, AE will be expected to use various archived media to create thorough, topic-specific assembly cuts to be used as production reference material.
  • Expedient work ethic, and basic understanding of Adobe Premiere Pro required. Familiarity with pop culture entertainment (i.e. gaming/film/other) is preferred. Knowledge of G4TV/ Attack of The Show optional.

Will receive IMDb credit, and production experience with industry veterans.

VIDEO RESEARCH 

  • Primary Tasks: Collect/Organize Media, Post-Production Coord. Assistance.
  • By using web-based archival research, Video Researcher will be expected to source content from a wide variety of locations, and organize said media using specific file organization techniques. Will additionally be expected to aid our Post-Production Coordinator in various deliverable management tasks.
  • Expedient work ethic, and efficient research/web-search skills required. Familiarity with pop culture entertainment (i.e. gaming/film/other) is preferred. Knowledge of G4TV/ Attack of The Show optional.

Will receive IMDb credit, and production experience with industry veterans.
