Depending on who you are, attending symposiums on technology in film can be so boring you’ll wanna gouge your eyeballs out and plug them in your ears. So, the Jackson Hole Symposium got the great idea of taking their show to the beaches of Santa Barbara on September 5-7. Now when you’re done listening to a bunch of experts ramble about advanced technologies, emerging trends, and new horizons in the digital media marketplace, you can rip all your clothes off and swim right out to sea.
There are over 50 confirmed guest speakers to attend the event, including James Cameron, who will be screening a 24-minute promo reel from his upcoming “Ghosts of the Abyss” as well as some of the latest images gathered by Cameron in his recent expedition to the German battleship Bismarck, submerged deep beneath the Atlantic.
