Olivia Munn To The Rescue In Aleppo

Award-winning actress and former host of G4’s Attack of the Show Olivia Munn (X-Men Apocalypse, The Newsroom) is attached to play the lead in the drama feature Aleppo for MiLu Entertainment. Aleppo is the story of a Syrian boy refugee and a UN journalist (Munn), brought together by tragedy in their escape from Syria to survive.

Currently in pre-production, Aleppo will be directed by award-winning Brazilian director David Schurmann from an original script by Beto Dantas. Academy Award-winning Art Director/Set Decorator Brigitte Broch and Golden Globe-nominated composer Antonio Pinto are also attached, with Juan Bergaz of Bergaz Productions serving as executive producer.

“Olivia is a strong, dynamic leading actress, whose passion for the project under David’s direction will bring this powerful and important story to life,” said Producer Andre L III, CEO of MiLu Entertainment.

Schurmann directed the Brazilian entry Little Secret (Pequeno Segredo) to the 89th Academy Awards in the Best Foreign-Language category, Broch won her Academy Award decorating Baz Luhrmann’s Moulin Rouge set, Pinto got his Golden Globe nomination composing the Brazilian lyric original song “Despedida.”
