NERD CANADA 2005

So if the San Diego Comic-Con hasn’t completely pounded you into submission like the filthy little geek you are, you can always head up North afterwards and be well on your way to claiming your rightful title – King of the Nerds.
The Canadian National Expo, owned and operated by local company Hobby Star Marketing, will celebrate its 11th anniversary with style this August 26 – 28 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, North Building. The country’s powerhouse genre event has doubled its floor space from 2004 and brings together an array of celebrities, exhibitors, retailers and visitors from all over the world.

Covering 180, 000 square feet, the Canadian National Expo focuses on five pop culture genres including: The Comic Book Expo; SFX – Science Fiction Expo; The Rue Morgue Festival of Fear – Horror; CNAnime – Animation and the newest member of the Hobbystar family, GX – Gaming Expo. Over 30,000 genre fans from all over the world are expected to attend this year’s event.

Company founder Aman Gupta describes what visitors can expect to see at the 2005 Canadian National Expo, “Our mission and focus is to provide our loyal fans with the ultimate celebrity and industry experience. We take great pride in securing the top names in each genre and present them to our visitors in an interactive fashion, allowing them opportunity to personally meet their favourite personalities, industry experts and professionals.”
