Memorial Day Watch Party for the Documentary Bastards’ Road

By Film Threat Staff | May 24, 2021

Be a part of a special Memorial Day weekend watch party for the documentary Bastards’ Road. This compelling documentary follows war veteran Jon Hancock who wrestles with his demons while walking 5,800 miles across the United States. Pay tribute to our troops and veterans in this watch party.

Film Threat writer Dylan Andresen gave Bastards’ Road a rave review, scoring it a 10 out of 10 when it played at the Slamdance Film Festival in 2020. Dylan went on to say, “The message of Bastards’ Road is not partisan or political. It is a statement of facts that too few are aware of or acknowledge. War is hell, and it extracts a heavy toll from those who fight it. It is something no one can deny, yet more often than not our soldiers are not given sufficient aide to deal with the gravity of that experience. This is the failure of our culture at large, and the need to change it is our call to action. May this film be the first step in facilitating it. My thanks go out to Jonathan Hancock and all of our veterans for their service.”
