The long-awaited sequel is just around the corner and we’ve got a few first-look photos from Orion Pictures’ Bill & Ted Face The Music. We thought it would never happen, but Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves are back as William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. and Theodore “Ted” Logan, respectively.
The stakes are higher than ever for the time-traveling exploits of Bill and Ted. Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it. Along the way, they will be helped by their daughters (played by Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine), a new batch of historical figures, and a few music legends—to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe.
The first look images also include a peek into the role of Death reprised by actor William Sadler and newcomer Scott Mescudi (Kid Cudi).
Bill & Ted Face The Music is set to hit theaters on August 21, 2020. Directing is Galaxy Quest‘s Dean Parisot and completing the series are original writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon.
Could this persuade me to ignore my “no sequels” rule that has stood the test of time for the last 26 years? I will admit that I did see “Bogus Journey” at a drive in double feature of the two films with local bands I followed playing before the films in the late 90s and was pleasantly surprised at what “Bogus Journey” brought to the table. So maybe third time will be a charm too? But with no George Carlin, the future looks cloudy. Hmmm.
