The directorial debut of filmmaker (and Film Threat fan) Michael Chrisoulakis is an offbeat “Lynchian” L.A. Modern Noir thriller called Los Angeles Overnight. Arielle Brachfeld stars as Priscilla, a struggling actress who, along with her gullible mechanic boyfriend (Azim Rizk), steal big from the Los Angeles underworld. The colorful villains therein are ill-impressed and seek to make their displeasure known. This was not the role Priscilla was hoping for.
Entirely shot in Los Angeles, the cast includes Peter Bogdanovich, Sally Kirkland, and recent CineAsia Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Lin Shaye.
