You won’t meet many film fans who are ambivalent about Darren Aronofsky. Love or hate, his films are extreme in concept and execution. It looks like the upcoming psychological horror film Mother! with Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem will keep that tradition alive and creepy. Ed Harris and Michelle Pfeiffer are also featured and they always class up a joint. Shot on 16mm film for that old school grainy horror ambience, Mother! is about unexpected odd guests arriving and moving in to a couple’s peaceful home.
Premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, 2017, followed by North American theatrical release September 15th.
