ALPHAVILLE
On Twitter, Film Threat reviewer Bobby LePire added Alphaville to our list. The movie includes an excruciating interrogation sequence led by the evil A.I. that runs the futuristic society in this strange thriller.
A.I. Reviewer did not focus on the the soul-crushing digital voice, focusing instead on Godard’s musical choices:
“As you’ll see when examining the actual film, it is a good story. It also has a surprisingly deep and powerful sense of social responsibility … I was mostly a big fan of the soundtrack. Even though it’s a bit heavy on the bass, it gives the film a sense of urgency and urgency just happens to be one of the most compelling and beautiful soundtracks I’ve ever heard.”
BLADE RUNNER
On Film Threat’s Facebook page, Max Winslow and the House of Secrets director Sean Olson reminded us to ask about Blade Runner, a film where the main character tries to determine who is A.I. and who is not A.I. using the strange Voight-Kampff test.
Our A.I. reviewer really would never pass the Voight-Kampff test. Here is our computer-generated review of Blade Runner:
“I wasn’t a fan of the book, so was surprised to find this one more interesting. The trailers released for Blade Runner 2049 looked like a rip off as opposed to a new film. Blade Runner was an original, original, original and original.”
