Congratulations to the nominees and the winners of Film Threat’s inaugural event Award This! It has always been Film Threat’s mission to champion the types of movies that are often ignored by traditional awards shows. Everything from indie horror, sci-fi, comedy, to small independent gems to certain categories of the creative arts in film that don’t receive the recognition they deserve. Award This! was created to solve this problem and create an awareness of films that may not open on 3,000 screens across America, but are easily discovered if audiences look beyond the multiplex.

The writing staff of Film Threat (30+ critics from around the world) participated in the nomination process and our list of nominees represents Film Threat’s collective voice.
Film Threat presented Award This! on the Film Threat’s YouTube Channel during the Oscars on Sunday, February 24th at 4PM (Pacific Time) and the show included live Academy Awards commentary along with our announcement of the Award This! winners. Check it out on our YouTube channel.
