Stanley Tucci plays Ted, an author past his prime who teaches writing at a small liberal arts college. When a new student, Angela (Addison Timlin), shows promise Ted focuses on nurturing her career and she appears more than willing to devote the one-on-one time required. It’s not long before lines get crossed. Relevant to the #metoo movement, Submission dives deeper into this current ongoing public conversation about power and who has it.
Directed by Richard Levine and starring Stanley Tucci, Kyra Sedgwick, and Addison Timlin. Based on the novel “Blue Angel” by Francine Prose. In theaters March 2 in New York, releasing in L.A. and other markets March 9th.
