PUN IN A MILLION

By Daulton Dickey | July 24, 2005

Jake is that annoying office worker who cracks puns all day, much to the dismay of his co-workers, who balk at his hideous jokes. Finally, after hearing the ten-thousandth pun of the day, they exact revenge on him.

But does it really matter?

This short is like a “Saturday Night Live” skit that thinks it’s funnier than it actually is, and lasts twice as long as it should. Although the puns are supposed to be annoying, the reactions, which should have been key to the joke, are lame and uninspired, and the payoff, meant to be the actual punch line, it worthless.

This short’s only saving grace is it’s length—seven minutes. Had it been any longer, it would have been unwatchable.
