I tried to check my notes for this film before I started my review and realized that the only thing I wrote down was the word “bored.” I meant this to describe the lead character Alison, a receptionist for Viacom, but it fairly accurately sums up my feelings about this short as well. It’s only three minutes long, for cryin’ out loud, so “bored” in such a short period of time is definitely not good. But what do you expect when the whole film is nothing other than juxtapositions like the scene where Alison espouses her ambitious philosophy of life…as she plays a solo round of “Boggle” with the letters in “Viacom.” It’s a schtick that’s amusing once, then quickly becomes repetitous and, yes, boring after that.
