IT’S RAINING MEN

The July edition of Independent Exposure, the monthly screening program of international independent short films and videos in San Francisco, will feature twelve short works by male directors. This month’s program, held Tuesday, July 30th, featuring a male perspective on
independent short filmmaking will be the precursor to August’s All Women Edition of Independent Exposure. The All Men Edition of Indepedent Exposure is the third in the monthly series presented by Microcinema International,
Film Arts Foundation and 111 Minna Gallery. Independent Exposure presents San Francisco audiences with a diverse
and thoughtfully curated selection of unique short films and videos created by international directors as well as local filmmakers.

The twelve selected films this time around are –

“NEW FOUND FREEDOM” (DV) by Tommy Becker, San Francisco

“PENNIES FOR BEER” (Super-8mm) by Matthew T., Cleveland, OH

“FILM MUSIC” (Gameboy Camera) by Eric Lesdema & Stephanie Bolt, U.K.

“ARTIFACT” (DV) by Christopher Keller, Houston, TX

“STRIP MALL TRILOGY – PART 1” (Super-8mm) by Roger Beebe, Gainsville, FL

“LEAVE LUCK TO HEAVEN” (35MM) by Todd Lincoln, Los Angeles

“S**T PARTY” (computer animation) by David Blumenstein, Melbourne, AUS

“PROFLIES IN SCIENCE” (Super-8mm, animation) BY Wes Kim, Seattle, WA

Independent Exposure will occur the last Tuesday of every month through October 29th and will begin at 8pm. Admission is $5.00 and is reserved for audiences 21 years and older. 111 Minna Gallery is located at 111 Minna Street at 2nd Street in San Francisco.
