Some independent film productions are ramping back up and include new safety precautions. And these new precautions for indies like Schrodinger’s Box actually explore the current pandemic which makes instituting new protocols much easier. Schrodinger’s Box is being co-directed by Amir Ganjavie and Nasim Naghavi, began production in Canada earlier this week. The film will be produced by 24 Frames Film Company with Behzad Javaheri, Arash Azizi and Amir Ganjavie acting as co-producers. The script is co-written by Alireza Kazemipoor, Amir Ganjavie and New York-based Arash Azizi. The Canadian actresses Ada Shakalla and Lee Lawson will play the film’s leads. Schrodinger’s Box is a psychological drama focusing on loneliness and social pressure experienced during the coronavirus lockdown. The shooting is expected to be wrapped up by late July.
24 Frames had plans for another feature but decided to rush this Coronavirus-related title before going back to the other project. Schrodinger’s Box is Ganjavie’s second film and the debut for co-director Nasim Naghavi. Ganjavie’s debut, Pendulum, was a critically-acclaimed family drama.
