The Winner of the Festival Choice Award at the New York Underground Film Festival, Godass is an offbeat comedy by writer/director Esther Bell about how having a gay father can be the least of a punk girl¹s problems.
Godass will be screened Wednesday, June 21 at 6 pm at the Victoria Theater as part of the San Francisco Gay and Lesbian Film Festival.
The film stars Fred Schneider(B-52’s), Julianne Nicholson (The Love Letter, NBC’s The Others), Tina Holmes (Edge of Seventeen, The Photographer), Anna Grace (Girlstown, I Shot Andy Warhol), David Ilku (Risk, Blue Steel, Liquid Sky), George Crowley, Nika Feldman, Arik Roper and Preston Miller. Filmmakers Bill Plympton (I Married a Strange Person) and Sarah Jacobson (Mary’s Not a Virgin) make cameo appearances.
Godass also features music by Lunachicks, Hammerbrain, Challenge of the Future, SpeedBall Baby, Sleepyhead, The Rapture ,Ghost of Mankind, and Volumen.
