Tranny Fest, North America’s first film festival and cultural week dedicated to generating positive media images of transgendered people lands in San Francisco again in full force, unleashing over 30 groundbreaking films. Tranny Fest week takes place November 13-18, 2001 and will feature a variety of performances, panel discussions, and parties. The week will climax in a glamorous explosion coined “The Transgender and Transgenre Cinema Film Festival”. Over the course of the film festival, audiences will be treated to over 30 finger-snappin’, groin-bumping, tear-jerking, heartwarming, gut-bustin’ mix of experimental, documentary, drama, and pornographic films.
This year’s event offers an out-of-this-world, sci-fi vibe and is themed, “Gender Armageddon: This Is The Future”. Sci-fi fans, as well as Trans and their fans, will have the opportunity to partake in a magnificent multi-galaxy costume contest hosted by the stunning Empress Alexis Miranda, of the renowned Imperial Court System of San Francisco. Tranny Fest proudly boasts a diverse blend of cultures in all programming, including as many genres as genders.
