Opening in Brisbane on Thursday the 23rd of September at the Zoo, then travelling to Sydney, The Short Crap Film Festival #3 shall grace the presence of the old Newtown RSL, now known as @Newtown on Sunday the 26th. After Sydney the festival will then close in Melbourne at the Corner Hotel on Tuesday the 28th.
Since this festival started as just an experiment, they want to see to it that they continue to support this way of experimenting with form, in this case, the film festival form. They are opening up entries to international filmmakers who would like their films as part of The Short Crap Film Festival #3 – an international experiment.
At each town where the festival is held, the audience will vote on a winner, who will be awarded many goodies. On the final evening an award shall go the national winner simply by adding up all of the votes taken from each town.
Each state winner will receive a hamper of great delights, a toilet like trophy & $402. The overall winner of the festival will receive a year free subscription to IF Magazine, a toilet Trophy, $802 & a one week summer course held by the VCA Film & Television School. The winner of the International Experiment will also receive a Toilet Trophy, a year free subscription to IF Magazine and $802.
