The Academy of Machinima Arts & Sciences (AMAS), an organization that provides advocacy, education and awareness for the entertainment medium known as Machinima: the art or technique of filmmaking using the real-time 3D virtual environments found in many new video games, has teamed up with sponsors NVIDIA Corporation, AMD and GameSpy to host the 2nd Annual Machinima Film Festival in New York, October 25th.
The one-day event will include Machinima film screenings, workshops lead by Machinima filmmakers and talks with award-winning independent filmmakers.
The festival will culminate in an awards ceremony where Machinima filmmakers will be recognized for their creative artistry in this evolving and powerful entertainment medium.
