LUNAFEST, a national festival of films by, for or about women, will return to screens nationwide for the third year beginning in October 2003. In addition to providing national exposure for emerging women filmmakers, LUNAFEST also supports one of the most important causes for women today by donating all proceeds from the festival to The Breast Cancer Fund.
“We developed LUNAFEST to bring women together to share their stories and to support our partner, TBCF,” said Yana Kushner, director of LUNAFEST. “We are excited to expand this year’s festival to reach an even greater audience that can enjoy provocative films while supporting a critical women’s cause.”
LUNAFEST will travel to more than 25 locations in 2003, growing from an eight-city tour when it launched in 2001.
