The 4th Annual Houston Pan-Cultural Film Festival is set to run from [ January 31st ] through [ February 3rd, 2002 ] in Houston, TX. The community-based film festival stands on the premises that film should be “accessible to everyone, and that cinema bridges social and cultural boundaries.”
Ancestral Films is heading the event, and the Festival is set to include seminars and workshops on digital filmmaking, the “hottest topic in the industry,” script development, grant seeking/fundraising and more. Work is also in progress in cooperation with The Children’s Museum of Houston to establish a children’s film program and an animation workshop (DIVERSITY ANIJAM) for youth and teenagers between 10 and 17 years old.
