The Taos Media Forum is scheduled to take place during the 2002 Taos Talking Picture Festival, which begins on April 11th and wraps up on April 14th, 2002. The Forum will include four days of free educational programming, screenings, and events at the Taos Convention Center. The box office opens to the general public for free ticketing on April 2nd.
The Taos Media Forum offers audiences insights into the behind-the-scenes world of modern media. Movies, TV, and other media will be discussed from many angles — more than 14,000 people have attended past Forum events.
This year, syndicated columnists Roberto Rodriguez and Patrisia Gonzales will host a Forum program called “Who Has the Right to Determine the Future?” This special event looks at the aftermath of the September 11th bombings and the role(s) that artists, poets, writers, and filmmakers play in shaping public understanding.
