SXSW FILM SUBJECTS DENIED VISA'S

A group of Mexican women who are the subject of immigration doc “Letters From the Other Side” will not be attending this years SXSW film festival because they were denied visa’s by the U.S. Consulate in Mexico City. The films director Heather Courtney said, “Unfortunately, the failed attempt to get visas for the women in my film echoes some of the themes of the film which is how difficult it is for a Mexican to be able to enter this country legally.
