Alan Inkles, director of the Stony Brook Film Festival, hosted the 2004 Closing Night Awards Reception on Saturday evening, July 31, in the Staller Center for the Arts’ University Art Gallery. John Anderson, Newsday’s film critic, was also a host, presenting the awards to the moviemakers.

The Stony Brook Film Festival screens one film at a time in the Staller Center Main Stage Theater. Special screenings, premieres, and features and shorts in competition are in the mix. This year a passholder bonus panel included filmmakers and distributors whose films were screening in the festival was held in the Charles A. Wang Center adjacent to Staller Center at the University.
Stony Brook screens only 35 mm and 16 mm films. All films are shown on the Staller Center 40 foot wide screen in a 1000+ seat theater.
