SLAMDANCE GETS GAMEY

PopCap Games has teamed with Slamdance to present a “Best Casual Game” award during the film festivals “Gamemaker Award Night.” This is the first year for the film festivals “Guerilla Gamemaker Competion” and winners of the best casual game will possibly score worldwide publication under the PopCap label. In case you’re wondering (as we were) just what a “casual game, it’s apparently a game that’s “simple, addictive and fun.” So, if you have the next Tetris or Bedazzled, you better sign up.

Ya know, there’s just not enough happening in Park City during Sundance/Slamdance so it’s good to see Slamdance is going to get a s**t ton of geeks out of their houses and onto the frozen tundra of Park City. Can you say “nerds on ice?” More importantly, can you say “I thought this was a film festival???”
