SCALPEL TO VEIN

By Rory L. Aronsky | February 9, 2004

“Scalpel to Vein” is presented as a “protest film” and before it begins with many quotes read on-screen by Elvis D’Silva, it presents what it believes to be asinine about life such as “superpower abuse”. Then, we go on to watch blood pour down, while shots of the streets of India are shown, along with such lines as, “Life’s cards are dealt after you play a few rounds.”
It makes its point well and I guess that’s what drives a short like this. Some of the thoughts are really something to consider.
